Todd AhernCHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Todd Ahern is transforming how the solar industry does business. As Founder and CEO of The Megawatt Group, Todd’s vision is to build the most efficient, transparent, and scalable solar marketplace in the U.S.- one that streamlines procurement, eliminates bottlenecks, and accelerates transactions. The Megawatt Group empowers Tier-1 solar module manufacturers to scale without the overhead, acting as a high-performance outsourced sales partner across sales, marketing, legal, and logistics.

Todd began his solar career over a decade ago after earning his MBA from The George Washington University School of Business. During his nine-year tenure at a leading module manufacturer, he closed over 600 deals totaling 1.3GW and $671M in revenue, gaining deep insight into both the explosive growth and inefficiencies in the solar supply chain.

Since founding The Megawatt Group, Todd has led the company to remarkable growth: more than 1,300 module deals closed, 1.4GW sold, and $464M in revenue generated in 6 years.  Under his leadership, the company has earned repeated National recognition-including a top 100 spot on The Financial Times’ Fastest Growing Companies in the Americas list in both 2024 (#70) and 2025 (#97), back-to-back rankings on the Inc. 5000, and 3 years in a row on the Inc. Regionals (#39 in 2024).  And in 2024, Energy Tech Review named The Megawatt Group a “Top Renewable Energy Services Company” for its data-driven, customer-centric approach to module sales.

Ahern remains hands-on across departments while relentlessly pushing toward his ultimate goal – to build the “Amazon” of the solar industry. By creating a seamless digital marketplace and offering end-to-end support, he’s redefining how solar buyers and sellers connect, transact, and scale in today’s fast-evolving clean energy economy.

Tu Tran is a leading corporate sales executive and President of The Megawatt Group. After spending nearly two decades working with three Fortune 500 companies, Tu brought his wealth of knowledge in distribution, brokerage & sales to disrupt the renewable energy industry. Today, Tu runs all day-to-day operations for The Megawatt Group, playing an integral role in the company’s exponential growth. His commitment to providing the right solutions to our partners has positioned him as a leader in the solar industry and a key driver of the company’s success.

Adam JordanVICE PRESIDENT OF SALES

Adam Jordan is Vice President of Sales for The Megawatt Group bringing more than 15 years of experience in solar to the team. Adam is well-versed in every aspect of solar including sales leadership and management, design, installation, supply chain and marketing. Prior to joining The Megawatt Group, Adam not only led the commercial solutions business unit at Trina Solar for 5 years, but he built the new business unit from scratch and managed its growth and success during his tenure.

Max ThoeniDIRECTOR OF SALES

Max Thoeni is The Megawatt Group’s Director of Sales and brings over ten years of corporate sales experience. In his role, he’s responsible for managing North American sales activity and growing the customer base. Prior to transitioning to renewable energy, he held various sales
positions within the corporate insurance industry. Max is passionate about solar technology and building an entrepreneurial and customer-first culture.
